Coronavirus outbreak reported at long term care facility in Blair

BLAIR, Neb. (KMTV) - The Three Rivers Public Health Department is reporting a coronavirus outbreak at the Crowell Memorial Home.

According to the Three Rivers Public Health Department, 24 residents and eight staff members are positive for coronavirus at the long term care facility in Washington County.

“We have been working with many partners to mitigate the risk for all of the residents and staff members” said Terra Uhing, Executive Director of the Three Rivers Public Health Department.

The Three Rivers Public Health Department continues to urge people to practice social distancing, utilize good hygiene, and to wear a mask when possible.

There have been a total of 237 coronavirus cases in Washington County since the coronavirus outbreak began, including 51 in the past 14 days.

According to the Crowell Memorial Home website, they have offered care for seniors going back to 1905.
