Health care workers and first responders are dealing with a rigorous schedule, and as they are taking care of everyone else, it was time to take care of them.
The Darmody Family McDonalds partnered with the Helget Gas Company and hand delivered lunch to local hospitals and fire stations.
They want the workers to know that their hard work, dedication and sacrifice is not going unnoticed.
It's just a small token they say but the it comes with gratitude and appreciation. Deliveries were made from Gretna all the way to Council Bluffs.
"Unfortunately, with everything going on right now, the stress levels for our first responders and health care workers is a little high right now. They have been really happy to get some food that comforts them a little bit,” said Dustin Darmody of Darmody Family McDonalds.
For the entire month of April, whenever first responders and health care workers need a pick-me up, they can visit any of the 17 Darmody McDonald locations and get free coffee anytime of the day.
