OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Douglas County Health Department (DCHD) confirmed eight new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.
The cases involve seven women and one man who range in age from less than a year to 49 years, according to the health department.
Three of the cases had contact with a known case, one case is travel-related, one was community-acquired and three are under investigation.
The health department says none of the new cases are hospitalized.
There have been 263 cases of COVID-19 in Douglas County.
As of Tuesday evening, there are 553 medical surge beds available with 38 COVID-19 patients hospitalized.
Of the 402 available ventilators, 86 are in use including 15 for COVID-19 patients.
DCHD continues to urge social distancing and reminds those who go out in public to wear a mask.
“Remember these important numbers,” Health Director Dr. Adi Pour said. “Stay six feet apart and no more than ten people in a room.”
