10 more Douglas Co. residents dead due to COVID

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — On Wednesday, the Douglas County Health Department (DCHD) reported 10 more COVID-19-related deaths.

In a release, the department said, “A woman in her 40s, one woman in her 50s and four women 75 years of age and older have passed. Four men over 65 years of age have also been lost.”

The death toll now stands at 565.

Three-hundred-seventy-five more infections were also reported for a total of 58,784 to date.

Residents who have recovered from the virus is now up to 43,595.

Lancaster County COVID-19 update for January 20

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) today announced that 161 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Lancaster County, bringing the community total to 25,697. The total number of deaths in the community remains at 185.

Recoveries: up from 8,969 to 9,120

Weekly positivity rate:

  • January 10 through 16: 28.5 percent
  • January 17 through 20: 32.3 percent

Hospitalizations for COVID-19 positive patients: 110 with 72 from Lancaster County (two on ventilators) and 38 from other communities (four on ventilators).
