Front desks at Omaha Police Dept. precincts to close

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Starting Tuesday, all front desks at Omaha Police Department precincts will be closed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The front desk at Central Police Headquarters, located at 505 S. 15th St., will remain open daily but hours and available services will change.

Hours at the Central Police Headquarters front desk will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. According to the Omaha Police Department, fingerprinting will be unavailable.

The Omaha Police Department has created a call center at the West Precinct and will begin taking calls Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Citizens should call 402-444-4877 to make any non-emergency reports. If a citizen calls 911 for a non-emergency, the dispatcher will re-route the call to the call center.

Those who need to file a report for a non-emergency incident should call 402-444-4877.

Police report copies can be requested in writing to 505 South 15th Street, Attention: Records Manager, Omaha, Nebraska, 68102 or purchased in person at Central Police Headquarters each day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reports requested in writing should include a report number and a $5 check or money order made out to the Omaha Police Department.

Accident reports can be requested online and paid with a Visa, MasterCard or E-Check. There will be a convenience fee applied.
