The message will feature issue experts and will highlight the multiple ways that COVID-19 is impacting the Latino community. Senator Tony Vargas will provide an update on how lawmakers intend to take emergency action to ensure public safety. Albert Varas, executive director of the Latino Center of the Midlands, will address how the non-profit will continue to support its community. Other local leaders will address the impact that COVID-19 will have on public schools, the census process, elections, immigration system, and public spaces and community events.
