DES MOINES, Iowa (KMTV) — On Thursday, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and other officials held a coronavirus briefing.
During the briefing, Reynolds said, "State data shows the rate of positive results among people tested at its sites is less than half what it is for patients tested elsewhere in the state."
She says the state is in the process of validating the efficacy of the tests they are using for the state test sites.
In addition, a representative with Iowa Workforce Development took the time to remind people that if they don't return to work when their employers call them back, those people will lose unemployment benefits. There are of course exceptions including: those who have the virus, are in a household that does, you're at high-risk to exposure and a few other situations.
