News conference on COVID-19 impact in NE Latino community

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — On Thursday, several speakers held a virtual press conference to talk about the impact of COVID-19 on the Latino/Hispanic community in Nebraska.

The group talked about the "disproportionate impact on the Latino/Hispanic community in Nebraska in the number of infections, deaths, and across a range of issues including unemployment, access to health care, and mental health care."

The speakers were:

  • Elsa Ramon Aranda, LULAC
  • Senator Tony Vargas
