Local hockey community feeds first responders, healthcare workers

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — During these tough times, we've also seen an impressive outpouring of community support.

Pictures in the video above show an effort to feed area first responders and healthcare workers.

It started when the Grover Ice Rink manager created a GoFundMe page, asking members of Omaha's hockey community to help. And they did by donating more than $1,500.

That money provided more than 260 meals, which were delivered to area hospitals and medical clinics.
