OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — On Wednesday, the Elkhorn Logan Valley Health Department (ELVHD), which serves Burt, Cuming Madison and Stanton Counties, reported the coronavirus-related death of a woman in her 70s.
ELVHD says the Madison County woman's diagnosis had been previously confirmed and all people who came into contact with her are currently self-quarantining. The woman had "multiple underlying health issues."
In addition, the department says a previously-confirmed case in Cuming County was determined to be community spread and there are "no public points of exposure."
A second case was also confirmed in Madison County today. They say a woman in her 70s, who has underlying health issues, has the virus and an investigation is being carried out.
