OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha Public School students may wrap up the school year one week earlier than expected.
The Omaha Public School Board will vote today on a plan making May 15 the last day of school. Classes have been taught online since students returned from spring break in March.
Under the new plan, teachers will spend May 18 through the May 20 closing out their rooms. They'll also be expected to complete six days of professional development by June 5.
The board will also vote on a proposal to buy 2,000 IPads for summer school use.
