OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Nearly 7,000 hotel jobs were lost in Nebraska, according to the American Hotel and Lodging Association, with more than 19,000 lost in all hotel-supporting industries.

Nationally, the industry is losing about $400 million each day, according to the group.

The travel industry in general has been hit hard. The Greater Omaha Chamber reported today that just 8,700 people boarded planes at Eppley Airfield in April, compared to a 3-month average of nearly 199,000 in April 2019.
