OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Prospect Hill Cemetery is canceling this year's Memorial Day ceremonies.
That's the cemetery where many important figures to Omaha's history are buried.
Its board of trustees say they held off on the decision, hoping the community would be re-opened by then. But in a statement, officials call the decision their civic duty, adding it's particularly disappointing since rain and mud forced them to cancel last year's event.
