LINCOLN, NE — Governor Pete Ricketts said in an interview on Sunday with CNN that Nebraska will stick with its own timetable for dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.
Ricketts told CNN's Jake Tapper that despite President Trump's statements that states like Nebraska might be able to get back to normal earlier than other places, it will be up to the governor to decide the schedule for restrictions that are in place to slow the spread of the virus.
The governor also said the state is working on plans to make sure rural health infrastructure is prepared to handle cases, and that all hospitals have the tools they need.
