Sarpy/Cass County Health Department announces two new coronavirus cases

PAPILLION, Neb. (KMTV) - The Sarpy/Cass County Health Department announced two new coronavirus cases in its jurisdiction on Thursday.

Both new cases are Sarpy County residents.

Contact investigations are underway to assess potential exposures.

All identified close contacts will self-quarantine and be actively monitored twice daily by public health officials for fever and respiratory symptoms.

The Sarpy/Cass County Health Department has reported eight positive cases in Sarpy County and two in Cass County to date.

Overall, there has been 81 positive cases in Nebraska as of late Thursday.
