Sarpy County changes marriage license procedures

SARPY COUNTY, Neb. (KMTV) - Marriage licenses in Sarpy County will be issued by mail only for the time being due to concerns about the coronavirus.

An application for a marriage license can be found online at sarpy.com/offices/clerk/marriage-licenses. Couples can also request an application be mailed to them by calling 402-593-5957 or by emailing Clerk@sarpy.com.

Once the application is done, send it to: Sarpy County Clerk Marriage License, 1210 Golden Gate Drive, Papillion, NE 68046.

Along with the application, couples need to send in photocopies of a government-issued ID for each applicant. No faxed or emailed copies will be accepted.

Sarpy County requires couples submit applications at least three weeks in advance of their wedding.
