Audio recordings shed light on 2019 Fremont flood efforts

FREMONT, Neb. (KMTV) - March 14, 2019 started out like any other day for the Fremont Fire Department.

But officials say everything changed that afternoon when the levies started to break. By the end of the day some of their own needed to be rescued.

KMTV’s Courtney Johns recently acquired a copy of the radio recordings from that night. It gives a better idea of what happened and why officials say it's a miracle no one died.
