15-year-old charged with manslaughter in relation to June 10 shooting

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A 15-year-old boy who was initially charged with assault in relation to a shooting, has now been given an additional charge of manslaughter.

Omaha Police responded to 4601 Grand Avenue on June 10 to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived they located 20-year-old Jonathan Baltimore. Omaha Fire Department medics transported Baltimore to the Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition.

Baltimore died on June 13.

The 15-year-old also faces charges of use of a weapon to commit a felony, unlawful possession of a handgun by a minor, and possession of a defaced firearm.

All charges have been filed in Juvenile Court by the Douglas County Attorney's Office.

The investigation is ongoing.
