UPDATE (8:40 p.m.) Officials have canceled the Amber Alert for the 2-year-old boy believed to be abducted in Kansas and headed to Nebraska. The boy is safe.
The Nebraska State Patrol stopped a vehicle on westbound I-80 near the Overton exit. They took one woman and two men into custody without incident. The child was recovered safely.
Officials initially issued the alert and believed 2-year-old Walker Erickson was traveling with his mother, 26-year-old Marissa Mae Barrett. They say he was abducted in Smith Center, Kansas this afternoon.
