American Red Cross experiencing nationwide blood shortage

Blood donations across the country have reached emergency levels.

American Red Cross officials say that there's a blood shortage across the country with less than a five day supply on hand.

Officials are hoping people will find a blood drive near them or walk in to a red cross donation center.
