Omaha is in a Winter Weather Advisory Tuesday because freezing rain and off beginning Monday night.
Schools around the area, including OPS, Millard, Council Bluffs, Elkhorn and Bellevue are open. However, a number of schools just outside the Metro are closed or on late starts. Additionally, OPS may have bus delays because of the slick conditions.
As for the commute, there are a few icy spots on main roads and side streets are in much worse condition. To help you out, we tested some homemade de-icing methods sent to us by viewers yesterday.
