The Bank of the West Celebrates America concert doesn’t start until 6:00 p.m. Friday.

But already there was already a sea of blankets from people who got here 13 hours early before everything kicks off.

With Kenny Loggins set to perform, known for hits like "footloose" and "danger zone", for fans it's all about location.

Those who have attended the annual concert in previous years say they have a system in place as well as traditions and memories.

John Williams attends the concert every year. "I had a good friend of mine  almost like a brother  named Jessi Galvin who passed away, who actually did this for us in the family every year. And when he passed, we picked up that torch,” he said.

A portion of food sales goes the food bank.

Drivers are recommended to carpool  as many of the streets around Memorial Park are one-way for the event.
