BELLEVUE, Neb. (KMTV) — The City of Bellevue says water has stopped flowing into the flood zone; however, much of the area is still submerged.
A press release from Bellevue Police Department says there are many post-flood dangers to consider and each structure needs to be inspected before re-entry.
Bellevue Police are working with the owners of Green Acres and the Permits/Inspections Department to develop an organized system designed to grant residents safe re-entry into their homes.
The police department anticipates a limited amount of Green Acres residents will be able to access their homes Wednesday. Initial access is limited to the homes that weren't touched by floodwaters -- these homes are being externally inspected.
Residents of Green Acres and Paradise Lake are advised to follow Bellevue Police and the City of Bellevue Facebook/Twitter accounts for more information.
