Bellevue Police officials say they have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection to a child abuse case that took place in July.

According to BPD, 21-year-old Camron G. Ludi was arrested in connection to the death of his child, 5-month-old Cassidy Kennedy.

According to court documents back in July, Ludi told police he was watching after her when he left her on a bed to go outside to smoke; the child was reportedly sleeping.
He apparently heard the young girl screaming and when he came back inside, he told police, she had fallen on an area rug.
After months of investigating, BPD officials said that autopsy results showed Cassidy's cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the head.
