Falconwood Park, or former Sokol Park, is working to clear the damage left behind from Friday’s storm. Debris littered the area as owner Brandon Miller worked to clear it away.
“There are just uprooted trees everywhere,” he said.
On Friday Miller was hosting a wedding when the storm hit, “I look out the window and I see the cottonwood trees shaking like a dog out of water.”
Two more weddings were scheduled for Saturday and Sunday and everyone, including the wedding parties, helped with cleanup.
On Tuesday, uprooted trees and broken limbs were sill dangling across the park.
“We have drive-in moves Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this weekend,” said Miller. “It is like one of our only weekends of drive-in movies, they are really popular sellers, and more popular movies, and we have every intention of it still happening.”
Miller said they could use help hauling big trees and limbs and help with manpower.
