Bellevue Officers and firefighters were called to a near drowning incident late Thursday afternoon involving a child.
The incident occurred at 4:30 p.m. in a small pond near the area of 42nd and Giles.
A 3-year-old boy was playing outside in the fenced backyard when the boy's father noticed him missing from the yard and went searching for him.
The boy's father found him lying face down in the pond, about 60 to 80 yards from their home.
Crews transported the boy, who was unconscious but breathing to Nebraska Medicine.
Reports say the child is alert and in stable condition.
The boy's name has not been released.
