April Renshaw, 29, was charged with felony child abuse and is accused of throwing her 11-month-old son against a wall.
The 11-month-old was taken to Children's Hospital for treatment and is suffering from sustained significant bruising on his head and face as well as minor burns.
According to police, Renshaw has a history of abusive behavior toward her two children, the other an 8-year-old boy. The two boys have been removed from her home and placed safely with family members.
