U.S. Secretary of Education visited Nelson Mandela Elementary in Omaha on Sept. 14.
OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - As part of her Rethink School Tour, U.S. Secretary of Education was in Omaha Thursday morning visiting Nelson Mandela Elementary.
DeVos was present at a school assembly and went on a school tour, she even took to Twitter to show off some students playing the violin.
The North Omaha school is focused on maximizing the educational success of its students and bridging the learning and achievement gaps.
Doctor Susan Toohey, the head of the school, said she loved showcasing the school to DeVos.
