Washington County residents held rallies to protest proposed poultry feeding operations near Blair.

Before the Washington County Board of Supervisors makes the final vote on Tuesday on the six sites, residents in the area met at three of the proposed sites with signs.

Residents claim placing the sites near Blair will cause traffic damage with the increased truck traffic and have concerns about air and water pollution.

John Martele, who lives in the area says there might be other options for land and believed the sites should be moved away from homes and the county's only golf course.

The Commission recomended approval for four of the six permit sites.
