Omaha Police and the bomb squad were called to an area along the Keystone Trail Tuesday evening after a suspected explosive device was discovered.
Police received a call around 4:15 that someone placed what looked like an artillery shell or other type of military ordinance near a tree by a business near 84th and Blondo and walked away.
Police tweeted out a picture of the device which is heavily rusted. They have the area cordoned off including part of the Keystone Trail while the bomb squad removes the device.
