For the 33rd year, dozens of children battling cancer are attending a summer camp where they can just be kids.

Camp CoHoLo — which stands for courage, hope, and love — is under way this week.

Each year, the camp has a theme. This year's "Artists & Athletes" theme brings various guests from The Rose Theater, Omaha Street Band, UNO Baseball, Creighton Soccer, & CAPO-UNO Science Club. Campers also are able to go swimming, sliding down the 20-foot water slide; complete a ropes course; overnight camping; and dancing.

"Our goal for these kids when they go to school and someone asks, 'What did you do this summer?' — this is the best thing they've done all year," Director Berta Ackerson said.
