The city is ready to make changes after neighbors filed several complaints about this intersection.

"The neighborhood association went to the city and asked them to do something about this intersection.”

“It came from multiple car accidents and a fatality."

Jesse Cuevas says it’s so bad multiple cars have crashed and landed in his yard.

"There have been three cars in my yard within the last ten to 12 months."

Now the city is taking action.

"They determined that a traffic calming foundation in the form of a roundabout, with a bike lane would be good for this area."

While some praise the city's decision, some say, not so fast.

"I was hoping for a little more of a measure approach, approved signage, flashing lights, something like that."

Cuevas say although the new roundabout may slowdown drivers, he says the additional crosswalk could be dangerous for walkers.

"They are going to cross maybe not exactly where they put the crosswalk because to me they are not very feasible; people just aren't going to do that."

He says the construction will take weeks and will be another traffic headache.

"It’s going to be an inconvenience because even if you try to go up 60th street that's closed."

For now Cuevas says he'll put his trust in the hands of the city.

"They solved a problem they thought someone brought to them, and it’s kind of being dumped on those of us on these corners."
