Construction cones near the Wedgewood and Spyglass Hill neighborhoods will be around for a bit longer as the current road improvement project is taking longer than expected.
The deadline was supposed to be this month but contractors working on the project are now telling the city they are hoping to have it completed before Christmas.
After a wet end to summer and a cold start to fall so far, the biggest battle with getting the project completed on time will be weather conditions. Those working on the project are hoping the ground does not freeze, otherwise, they cannot pour concrete.
