The greater Fremont Development Council confirms that Costco has completed its land purchase for it's planned chicken plant.
Costco is still working on state and local permit processes, but Fremont's mayor says he anticipated news of a the plants final approval in the near future.
Costco will invest around 280 million dollars in the plant which has been met with opposition from community members who do not want the plant in their town.
