Council Bluffs Fire Department revives puppies

Posted

A Council Bluffs, Iowa woman told 3 News Now her family's puppies, "were basically dead when the firefighters pulled them out."

The Council Bluffs Fire Department shared this post on Facebook which shows how they used oxygen to save the puppies.

Rose and Jerry Dixon were not home but a man they care for was in their mobile home off the 24th street exit of I-80 when the fire broke out this afternoon. He made it out safely.

The Dixons are also helping out their daughter's family who has pets. There were three dogs, two cats and five puppies. The puppies were just weeks old. One of the cats did not survive the fire which destroyed everything inside the home, according to Dixon.
