A woman believed to have been abducted against her will was found safe Sunday.

Council Bluffs police say Kimberly Bovee walked into the police station Sunday to inform officers she was not taken against her will and has no injuries.

Police were searching for Bovee after an investigation led law enforcement to believe she was abducted Saturday evening near South 24th St and Richard Downing Avenue.

Original Story: Police say 50-year-old Kimberly Bovee was taken against her will and may be in danger.

The incident began at a local business where three people were involved in a confrontation. Two people, including the victim, left in a pickup truck when the suspect, Eric Myers, jumped in the back of the truck.

Myers entered the cab of the truck and assaulted the driver. Law enforcement says the driver pulled over and Myers forced Kimberly Bovee from the truck and took her against her will into a wooded area.

According to a release, "Officers searched the area for several hours with the help of K-9 Olaf and OPD’s Able 1 helicopter but were unable to locate either party."
