Council Bluffs Police are searching for a woman believed to have been abducted Saturday evening near South 24th St and Richard Downing Avenue.
Police say 50-year-old Kimberly Bovee was taken against her will and may be in danger.
The incident began at a local business where three people were involved in a confrontation. Two people, including the victim, left in a pickup truck when the suspect, Eric Myers, jumped in the back of the truck.
Myers entered the cab of the truck and assaulted the driver. The driver pulled over and Myers forced Kimberly Bovee from the truck and took her against her will into a wooded area.
According to a release, "Officers searched the area for several hours with the help of K-9 Olaf and OPD’s Able 1 helicopter but were unable to locate either party."
It is unknown if Eric Myers is armed with a weapon. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information into the whereabouts of either party is asked to call Crimestoppers at (712)328-7867 or (712)328-5737.
