Today, Aug. 8, the Papillion Dairy Queen is hosting OPPD Day, where all products are 50 percent off for OPPD staff members.
According to release, Dairy Queen is honoring OPPD for its work during the severe storms in June, which left thousands, including Dairy Queen, without power.
The storms forced Dairy Queen to close during Papillion Days, an event they had been open for the previous 50 years.
"OPPD worked diligently to fix the community-wide damage as quickly as possible and for the efficiency of their work we want to thank them," the release said.
