Friday, hundreds of homeless people are getting help they need for a better future.
Project Homeless Connect is putting together those in need, with the people that can help them.
This is a massive undertaking where hundreds are helping hundreds.
It started at 8 a.m. on Friday. Organizers began bussing in members from the homeless community to the Creighton University campus.
Project Homeless Connect is a one-stop shop. Individuals can get legal help, sign up for food stamps, housing aid, get looked at by a dentist or a doctor. They've even partnered with psychiatry students this year so individuals can get mental health care.
This is the ninth year for Project Homeless Connect.
