OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Authorities are searching for a missing prison inmate.
State corrections officials say workers at the Omaha corrections center discovered 38-year-old Katara Smith missing just before six Tuesday evening.
Smith is serving a 21 to 27-year sentence for robbery and assault.
His tentative release date is December 2020... with a parole hearing set for July.
Anyone with knowledge of Smith’s whereabouts is asked to contact local authorities or the Nebraska State Patrol.
