OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — This morning, police responded to a three-vehicle crash at 40th and Dodge Streets which shut down traffic in the area for about two hours.

Police say an investigation revealed that a person, who appears to have had a medical episode while driving, rear-ended another vehicle just past 42nd Street going eastbound and then struck a northbound vehicle as well near 40th and Dodge Streets.

The driver of the vehicle that crashed into the other two has been identified as 55-year-old Kristi Couglin of Omaha. Police say she was rushed from the scene in critical condition.

Passengers and drivers in the other vehicles are not listed as suffering injuries but they do say one driver was ticketed for driving under suspension as well as for driving on bald tires.
