Residents in the second congressional district got a look of what's happening in our nation's Capital thanks to a town hall with Congressman Don Bacon.
Topics included the economy, spending and tariffs. Bacon said town halls like this help him better represent smaller communities on a national stage.
Another big topic at the meeting was President Trump's threats to shut down the government.
"I share that we need to have added security at the border and I think weed to do that, but I think that whoever shuts the government down and is seen as the instigator or initiator doing that loses," he said. "Americans do not like seeing their government shut down."
It was his tenth town hall since taking office in January of 2017.
