Douglas County will argue against a state imposed change to the Nebraska Supreme Court Friday morning.
It's challenging the state and tax equalization review order to raise the value of properties west of 72nd by Seven percent and in North Omaha, it lowered them by 8 percent.
Valuations in this city continues to make headlines and give headaches for homeowners like in this Sunset Hills neighborhood.
According to court documents for the hearing, the county claims "terc's" decision to raise and lower the value as "failed to conform with the law; was unsupported by competent evidence and unreasonable."
It also reads that the decision to not reconsider the valuations also is a form of discretion abuse.
The state supreme court will hear arguments beginning at 9:00 am.
