Douglas County Department of Corrections announces inmate death

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - An inmate died at the Douglas County Department of Corrections, officials announced Wednesday.

Trent Toline, 46, was found unresponsive in his cell at 11:37 a.m. on Wednesday. He was pronounced dead at Nebraska Medicine just an over hour later.

Toline was being held at the Douglas County Department of Corrections for a violation of probation.

A cause of death has not yet been announced. Per state law, a grand jury investigation will now get underway.
