Last July - 3 News Now brought you the story of an Omaha boy scout who worked to leave his mark with the Omaha Police Department.

Zach Hodgson spent part of his summer building gun racks, tables and benches for the Omaha Police Department's new gun range.  The gun range will help with officer training.

The work was part of Hodgson's Eagle Scouts project. And on Saturday, Hodgson joined the ranks of  Eagle Scouts - the highest honor awarded in Boy Scouts.

Hodgson also decided to donate the money he had left over from his Eagle Scout project. He donated more than  $1125.50 to the Omaha Police Foundation.
