Elkhorn South High School leaders are urging parents to talk with their children about the seriousness of a school threat.
Elkhorn South High School Principal Mark Kalvoda sent a message to parents with information about an investigation into rumors of a school threat Tuesday.
The full message is below:
"Dear Parent/Guardians, Earlier today an Elkhorn South High School parent reported information regarding a rumor that students were planning to "bomb" or "shoot-up the school" today during 3rd lunch. Elkhorn South Administration investigates all reports of this nature. Today we interviewed students and took necessary precautions to ensure the safety of all here at ESHS. The rumors lacked specificity and no student reported hearing the alleged threat directly. Elkhorn South High School treats situations like this very seriously and would encourage you to talk to your students about the gravity of this event. Please contact Mr. Kalvoda or another administrator if you have concerns about your student's safety here at ESHS. Thank you for your continued support of Elkhorn South High School. Mark"
