ELKHORN, Neb. (KMTV) — An Elkhorn boy has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship for growing a 24.5 pound cabbage plant.
Henry Borgmann, who attends Skyline Elementary School in Elkhorn, was provided the plant as part of the National Bonnie Plants Third Grade Cabbage Program.

Participants in the program are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship which is awarded to the best in each of the 48 contiguous states.
