Commuters in western Sarpy County may run into a detour due to an emergency bridge repair.
Sarpy County Public Works closed Cornhusker road from 192nd Street to 204th Street to through traffic on Friday morning. Crews will be investigating and repairing the substructure of the bridge near 198th Street. Local access to homes and farm fields will be allowed but the bridge is closed to traffic. It's unclear if this is a result of Thursday nights' heavy rain.
The repair work is expected to be done by August 19th, weather permitting.
