The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services closed a child care provider, following an emergency order.
Little Bits Daycare, LLC, located at 609 East 12th Street, Falls City was issued an emergency order requesting immediate action to protect the physical well-being and safety of the children in the child care program.
According to court documents, "excessive rodent feces" was located over multiple surfaces in the home, including infant eating surfaces, kitchen, playroom and the porch area.
Moldy food, trash and shredded garbage were also inside the home.
Michelle Wilcox, owner of the daycare, has 15 days to request a hearing and will be afforded a hearing within 10 days of the request, unless a continuance is granted.
Wilcox's license to watch children has been suspended until all violations have been corrected and passes an inspection for compliance with child care requirements.
Parents of the children in the child care program have been notified.
