A father and son are safe after escaping a house fire in Blair.
The son called 911 just after 7 p.m. while his dad rushed to get a fire extinguisher.
The Washington County sheriff was the first one to respond and helped stop the fire from spreading by using a fire extinguisher from his car.
The fire reportedly started in a bathroom. The cause is still under investigation.
Officials say much of the damage was contained to the bathroom but the roof did sustain some damage.
Crews patched a large hole up on the roof. No one was hurt.
